What does an AI agent development agency do?
It builds software that finishes a task on its own. An AI agent reads incoming requests, for example, looks up the customer in your CRM and prepares a draft reply. Together with you we decide which task suits that, connect the agent to your existing systems and keep it running in production. That last part is most of the work: a demo takes an afternoon, while an agent that runs reliably for months needs limits, logging and tests.
What does it cost to have an AI agent built?
A senior AI developer in the Netherlands charges roughly 70 to 125 euro per hour excluding VAT. A proof of concept on your own data, one agent for one bounded task, we usually build in 2 to 4 weeks, and for that we prefer to agree a fixed price. On top of that come the usage costs of the language model, which per task usually run to cents. Those costs depend on how much text the agent reads and writes, so we measure them on real cases before the agent goes live.
What can an AI agent do, and what can it not?
An agent is strong at work that repeats and needs judgement within clear rules: sorting mail, gathering information from several systems, filling in a form from a document. It is weak where one mistake costs a lot and nobody looks at it, or where the information it needs is not in any system. So we let an agent prepare that kind of decision, and a person makes it.
How do you keep an AI agent from making mistakes?
Not with a better prompt alone. Before an agent goes live we test it on a set of real past cases from your own business, and that set runs again with every change. Everything the agent does is logged, so you can see afterwards what it decided and why. And it only gets the access the task needs: reading where reading is enough, and an action that leaves the house only after a person approves it.
Do you build agents on ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a product of OpenAI. We build on the models behind it and on those of other providers, such as Claude, depending on what the task needs. We choose the model per task and build the layer around it so you can switch when a better or cheaper model comes along. So you do not need a separate ChatGPT developer: the same team builds the agent, the connections to your systems and the tests that check it.
